Status Day 3-4. Love conquers all.
Although I’m only required to work 3 days a week I wouldn’t mind coming in everyday because that’s how much fun I’ve been having, how cool my office mates are and how fun the atmosphere is here at STATUS! But because a part of me still wants to wake up leisurely and enjoy bumming long sunny summer days away I wont haha.
But seriously, I love what I’m doing and the things it’s inspiring me to dream about and get into. I can’t imagine entering a future profession that isn’t fueled by passionate inquiry and appreciation for the culture you’re immersed in. I know it’s easier said than done especially when there will be bills and no parents to pay. But I never want to sell out. Kill me if I ever do. Anyways, here are two reasons why the past two days have been quite fun:
1. DRESS UP IN STREET WEAR (another reason to love this job.)- I tried my best but I can’t really compete with my more fashion savy fellow intern and editor haha. After all, I’m still learning the tricks of the trade in the fashion world. It’s seriously got me thinking about my own personal style though (another post about that soon.) I wish I had pictures but I don’t think we had time for a real photoshoot with deadlines and all.
2. STALKING POTENTIAL FUTURE BOY INTERNS- Summer lovin’ happened so fast, meet a boy cute as can be? Hopefully! People always talk about companies doing a background check on future employees online, especially on Facebook. I never thought I’d actually be taking part in this myself. It’s so much fun haha. Sadly he has a girl friend, but that doesn’t mean it wouldn’t be nice to have some eye candy to look at when my eyes get sore from staring at my computer screen the whole day.
