STATUS Day 6 (Tuesday)
Today it occurs to me that my future career might be that of a workaholic. Because I’m a terrible at multi-tasking and pretty inefficient with my time I have not taken a real lunch break away from the computer in the past 6 days that I’ve been here. So in order to meet deadlines and give quality entries I’ve been sacrificing socializing which is unusual given my gregarious nature. When the air con turns off signalling the noon time break I find myself conversing with Diego, my laptop instead of my co-workers. But I’m one who’s always putting words into his mouth.
Although I’m glad that I’ve been given more to do asides from blogging, the work tends to pile up and I panic that I won’t be able to finish. Writing is one of the few things I’m OC with so I like to take my time strolling down writer’s block, obsessing and constantly re-reading everything before I submit.
I’m fully aware that there’s a lot of wasted time. I could work better and faster if i just rerouted my system of doing things. But regardless if i take the skyway or not, it’s still the same old driver in the car: A workaholic who doesn’t mind doing the extra mileage and enduring the longer hours when it’s a place she likes that she’s driving to.
Oh, since I have a real camera for the week I thought I’d give you guys a glimpse of the office. I took it while everybody was gone for lunch break!
