Status days 6-9? (I’m losing track already!)
Who’s watching?
It seems that while I was out of town in Bacolod, Batangas and Tagaytay my writing muse took a vacation along with me (actually it packed its bags a lot earlier than that.) Maybe it couldn’t keep up with the numerous things happening in the past couple of weeks, getting tired from all the trips, gimmiks and work but at least now it’s almost well rested with A LOT more stories to share. And today’s major headline is:
Status interns work don’t go unnoticed!
Apparently, according to our editor in chief we’re the best batch of interns that they’ve had! Given the fact that we’re all doing this for fun, it proves to me even more that it really makes a difference when you do something because you want to and not just because you’re required to. It naturally reflects in your work without even trying really hard to exert the extra effort (or at least complaining that you have to.) Despite being undergraduates we were commended for our drive, passion and professionalism.
Whether it’s at work or school someone somewhere WILL notice whether you’re consciously ignoring that piece of stray hair from the models face or putting it back into place during a photoshoot; or whether you’re just scratching the surface or trying to soar high; or hiding mediocrity behind mere acceptance that this is the best you’ve got.
So always do your best because you never know who’s watching. In the end it just might pay off.
